Adding a Touchless Menu to WiFi Splash Page

You will need the WiFi Plus+ module enabled inside the back office as denoted by a green checkmark on your Feature Dashboard.  If this module is not enabled, tap the icon and submit a request to enable this feature.

Accessing your Touchless Menu WiFi Splash Page

Perform the following steps to gain access to update your Touchless Menu WiFi Splash Page.

  1. Contact Technical Support and request setup of a Touchless Menu splash page you can edit and update on your own. Tech Support will get this page started for you. Wait for confirmation before proceeding.
  2. Login to your back office account. On the left hand margin, tap REPORTING> WiFi Dashboard.
  3. Enter your login credentials to access your WiFi Dashboard which should mirror your back office login credentials. If you have trouble accessing, contact Technical Support to reset your PW.
  4. Once logged into your WiFi Dashboard successfully, on the navigation bar to the left, click Network> Splash Pages.
  5. Select the EDIT icon next to the splash page called “BUSINESS_NAME Touchless Menu”

Your WiFi touchless menu splash page version will display that Technical Support started for you. This is 100% editable.

WARNING For optimal results, DO NOT copy and paste menu content from other applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs, your website) because there is a high probability it will jack up the formatting of the wifi splash page resulting in user frustration trying to resolve. Take your time to manually retype your menu content using the predefined 'drag and drop' Touchless Menu Templates.

There are 2 display view tabs at the top for New Guest and Returning Guest that have the ability to show different content based on whether the guest is connecting for the very first time or is a returning visitor.  Verify your view is selected to “New Guest” which should be by default.

We recommend posting your menu for BOTH new guests and returning guests.  You can avoid retyping ALL menu data for both views by using the Clone button at the bottom of the toolbar when ready to copy the menu from New Guest to Return Guest.  Please do NOT press Clone yet until you’re finished editing the menu in New Guest view.  We just want you to know this button is there after you’re finished typing out your menu.

Editing your Touchless Menu WiFi Splash Page

Now that you have gained access to edit your Touchless Menu WiFi splash page it’s time to start entering your menu items and prices. You have 2 options from here. Click into the menu blocks and start editing your menu items if you like the layout preselected for you by Technical Support. Alternatively, if you don’t like the menu style selected for you by Technical Support, you can delete the blocks on screen by clicking into the cell block and selecting the red X to delete the block.  Technically you could click the yellow Reset button at the bottom to clear the whole page but by deleting blocks individually you will preserve the introduction, Connect button configuration and mobile text compliance statement already added for you.

For your convenience, there are several different preformatted Touchless Menu blocks to choose you can drag and drop. In the upper right corner of the screen, expand the field selector and select Touchless Menus in the drop down list. Scroll through the various types of menu layouts and if you see one you like, drag it with your mouse and drop it into place into the main screen area.

You can change the screen background by selecting the Set Background button at the bottom of the page.

From this window, you can select a different background image from the list available or upload your own by pressing the grey link button on the Background Image field. Click Apply when ready.

NOTE:  Depending on the contrast of your background image it could make the text on screen invisible to the user, requiring changing the font formatting.  You can change the font formatting by highlighting the text inside the cell and selecting the Color icon on the left side toolbar.  For example, if using a dark background against dark (black) text, you’ll want to change the font of the text to a brighter color such as white and save changes. Then Repeat across text title sections to make all text blocks clearly readable.

Complete all menu edits on the New Guest view until all changes are complete and FINAL.

Cloning your Touchless Menu into Return Guest View

Select the Clone button on the bottom toolbar to carry over all your changes (and menu) into the Return Guest View. Click OK on the pop-up notification that prompts.

This next step is important because your Return Guest view does not need the full introductory paragraph that new guests require concerning signing up to join your list and incentive program. Delete the block with the introductory paragraph and edit the text block at the top with something simple such as the following:

Welcome Back to Your Business
View our Menu Below or Tap Connect for Free WiFi

Select the drop down field in upper right corner with all the templates and choose Connect Buttons

Select a Connect button you like from the drop down list and drag it into place under your returning guest opening statement.  Existing guests who have previously connected to WiFi  will tap this button to connect to your WiFi network without signing in again.

Preview, Save Changes and Notify Tech Support

Press the green ‘Preview’ button at the bottom of the builder to open a new tab showcasing a preview on different device screen sizes. Close the tab when finished. Now press the blue ‘Next’ button then press the blue ‘Save’ button You will be given the chance to update the name of this page. Press the green ‘Submit’ button and your Touchless Menu splash page is ready to be connected live.

Please contact Tech Support as the last step in this process who will quality review your splash page configuration and connect it live to desired hotspot.
