Guest Wi-Fi Splash Page and Data Collection for New Guests

Upon successful powering on and connectivity of your WiFi Access Point your guests will search and locate the new guest WiFi network from their mobile device and be able to find your WiFi splash page containing your business name. If you do not see your custom branded guest WiFi splash page after you have successfully connnected your Wi-Fi access point please contact Technical Support for assistance.

Upon initial login, by default we collect Customer Name (First and Last), Birthday, Email Address on the initial screen. From there your guests will be taken to a final screen and be prompted to enter their mobile phone number. During this step we do a final SMS Mobile Phone # verification to capture a mobile opt in for mobile text marketing communications.  Both the email address and mobile phone number are validated by us to ensure accuracy.  For the mobile phone number validation, we send a one time access code to the guest's device which then auto-populates the verification screen.

Upon successful sign-in your guests' profile data is immediately uploaded to your database in the back office (PATRONS: Signup Stream) and feeds applicable subscriber lists automatically for managing email and mobile marketing text campaigns.

Signup Stream (Back Office)

NOTE: If you need to change this default configuration please contact Technical Support. This default method has proven very effective at collecting accurate data quickly but we can change it to your exact specifications anytime.  A common reason why we might change the default data collection method would be to turn OFF the SMS mobile phone number verification is cellular reception is spotty in your facility and guests cannot easily validate their mobile phone #.

Returning Guest Connections

Once the patron signs up and successfully connects to guest WiFi the system will remember that patron's device and not ask them to sign in again on future visits.  Your returning guests will simply tap a CONNECT button to start their new WiFi session.

Disabling Legacy Guest WiFi Networks

If your business has an existing guest WiFi network in place please make preparations to disable it from broadcasting to your visitors once the new Access Point goes live.  This step will ensure you are not broadcasting multiple (competing) WiFi networks that result in failure to collect data and bring that data into your database. You may need to contact your local ISP or network technician for assistance. We do not have access or network knowledge to perform this maintenance on your behalf.

Setup Instructions for hAP or cAP Guest Wi-Fi Access Point

This article covers how to setup a Mikrotic cAP or hAP guest WiFi access point that integrates with your customer database.  These devices are shipped pre-configured for "plug & play" setup once you connect the device to your existing cable modem/router typically supplied by your Internet Service Provider. These devices are ideal for smaller facilities where one (1) access point can adequately cover the guest service area. If your facility is larger and you require multiple access points to mesh together this setup is N/A since the Mikrotic hAP and cAP devices are not mesh capable (and hence much less expensive).
