Requirements
In order to follow these directions on your own without assistance from Technical Support you will need direct access to your kiosk application on the mobile marketing side of our platform. The kiosk application has separate login credentials. If you have not already done so, please request kiosk login access from Technical Support in order to pair your kiosk to your device(s) on your own. Alternatively, please ask Technical Support for pairing assistance when you’re in front of your device.
1) To download the most up to date Mobile Kiosk App, open the browser on your tablet and browse to http://mkiosk.info/setup. This will automatically start to download the app onto your device.
2) Click the HOME icon on your tablet to return to your home screen.
3) Click the six white dots in the top right corner of your home screen to view your apps.
4) Find the DOWNLOADS folder and click on it to access the Mobile Kiosk app file.
5) Click the Mobile Kiosk app and proceed to install the file.
6) Once the file is installed, go back to your home screen and click on the six white dots in the top right corner of your home screen to view your apps. Search for the mobile kiosk app by scrolling from side to side. Once you find the mobile kiosk app, you can press down on the app icon to move it to your home screen page.
1) You are now ready to sync your tablet with your kiosk. To do this, click on the Mobile Kiosk App and launch.
2) Click the button that says “REGISTER TABLET”. This will register the tablet with the system, then click the OK button.
3) From a separate computer, login to your user account on the mobile platform.
4) Click on MOBILE MESSAGING > KIOSK WIZARD > MANAGE DEVICES.
5) Click on the ADD NEW TABLET button. You should now see a 6-digit PIN number that has been generated for you.
6) Enter the PIN number displayed in the mobile platform into your Mobile Kiosk app on the tablet.
7) When you are finished entering your PIN, click the PAIR button. This will connect the device to your user account.
8) Back in the mobile platform you should now see a new tablet added to your tablet lists. Click on “EDIT TABLET SETTINGS” to manage your new tablet.
a. Click on the NAME field to name your device, then click SAVE.
b. Click on LINKED KIOSK and select your kiosk from the list, then click SAVE
c. Click on ORIENTATION to set the screen orientation for your tablet, then click SAVE.
d. (Available on Mobile Kiosk App Version 1.006 and above) Select your Exit Options and specify a PIN number for exiting the Mobile Kiosk App.
e. Click DONE to save your changes and exit.
9) You should now see your kiosk display appear on your tablet.
1) To EXIT your Mobile Kiosk App, you will need to place your left thumb in the TOP LEFT corner of the screen and your right thumb in the BOTTOM RIGHT corner of the screen.
2) Alternate back and forth, pressing the TOP LEFT corner of the screen followed by the BOTTOM RIGHT corner of the screen and then back again.
3) Repeat this process for 5 or so seconds and you will see a "HOME" button appear on the top right corner of the screen.
4) When you press the HOME button the tablet will then prompt you for your EXIT PIN to exit.
5) Enter your EXIT PIN and click the "Check Exit Pin" button. If the PIN is correct, the tablet will automatically EXIT the mobile kiosk app.
