Recommended Stripe Security Settings

1) Enable Radar Fraud Detection module inside your Stripe account. Navigate to Payments from main menu and select Fraud & Risk. Start the 30 day free trial. You will be billed $0.02 per screened transaction (in USA) or $0.03 per screened transaction (in CAD).

2) Access ‘Rules’ from top menu, find ‘Block Rules’ section and enable already present Postal Code rule:

Click ‘Enable’ on the next page.

3) Go to Block Rules and click Add Rule

4) Add a new rule as follows:

:address_line1_check: = 'fail'

5) Click ‘Test rule’ and then click ‘Save’. Ignore any warnings about the efficacy of the rule.

That’s it. Your Stripe account will now reject any payments with mismatched Address1 or ZIP/Postal Code values.

If you are experiencing fraud from particular customers, you may do the following to create a customer block list:

1) Click 'Lists' from the Fraud & Risk main page:

2) Click the '+ New' button on the right hand side.

3) In the popup window, enter 'Cardholder Names' as the 'List name', 'cardholder_names' as the 'List alias to write rules' and select 'String' as the 'List type'. Click 'Add' to create the new list.

4) Click on the newly created rule. Locate the "+ Add your first item" button. When the popup displays, enter the name of the cardholder whom you wish to block.

5) Navigate back to the 'Rules' page from the steps above and locate the 'Block rules' section. Create a new rule with the following syntax:
'Block if :cardholder_name: in @cardholder_names'.

Click 'Test' to test your rule. Click '+ Add rule' to activate the new rule. This rule is now active. You may edit the rule and add as many cardholder names as you wish.
