VMAC Idle Timeout

  1. Access the loyalty main menu where Record Sale, Balance Inquiry and Load Value functions are displayed. Press the MORE purple button and select Setup Menu.
  2. Select TERMINAL and when prompted, enter default Manager Password of 92266831 and press Enter. If you already changed the default Manager password, then enter the new password value here instead of 92266831.
  3. Select NEXT repeatedly until you see the option called VMAC Idle Timeout. Click EDIT and observe value. Set this value to 0 (for 0 seconds) to prevent the main menu screen from returning back to bootup or root menu. The default setting is usually 120 (for 120 seconds) so you have to manually change it to 0 and press DONE to save changes.
  4. Press the Red Cancel button to exit back to the main menu or root menu and you're done.

VMAC Idle Timeout

If your Vx520 terminal is returning back to the root menu after a brief period of inactivity follow these instructions to adjust the VMAC Idle timeout setting to 0 and lock the gift and loyalty main menu in place. NOTE: By default when a new Vx520 terminal is downloaded the VMAC Idle Timeout is set to 0, which means the terminal is configured to remain on the gift/loyalty application main menu screen. The recommended value for this setting is 0.

  1. Access the loyalty main menu where Record Sale, Balance Inquiry and Load Value functions are displayed. Press the MORE purple button and select Setup Menu.
  2. Select TERMINAL and when prompted, enter default Manager Password of 92266831 and press Enter. If you already changed the default Manager password, then enter the new password value here instead of 92266831.
  3. Select NEXT repeatedly until you see the option called VMAC Idle Timeout. Click EDIT and observe value.
